A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Department of Mental Health of Kathmandu University for mental health study and research. The agreement was signed on Monday morning by Dr. Tokraj Pandey, Chief of the Disaster and Conflict Management Division at the Ministry of Home Affairs, and Dr. Dipak Kunwar, Head of the Department of Mental Health. Mental Health Initiatives by Kathmandu University
Honourable Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak stated that coordinated efforts between the Ministry of Home Affairs and Kathmandu University will now focus on controlling and reducing suicide cases. He also expressed confidence that, through this joint initiative, incidents of suicide would decrease significantly within a year.
